18:17 BST - Here's the moment Alcaraz lifted the trophy for the fans on the balcony.

17:31 BST - Alcaraz paid tribute to Djokovic, who he has now beaten in back to back Wimbledon finals.

"It's been a difficult few weeks for you," the champion told the BBC.

"You had surgery after the French Open and you didn't know if you could make the tournament and you made the final.

"It is something difficult to realise that you played points and matches just two weeks after your surgery. Great job and keep going."

17:26 BST - Alcaraz gushed about lifting the "amazing" Wimbledon trophy.

"Honestly it is a dream for me winning this trophy," he told the BBC. "I did an interview when I was 11 and I said my dream is to win Wimbledon. I want it to keep going. It is a great feeling to play on this beautiful court and lift this amazing tropy. It is the most beautiful court and trophy."

17:14 BST - Djokovic was full of praise for 'deserved winner' Alcaraz in his post-match interview.

"It obviously was not the result I wanted but of course in the first couple of sets the level of tennis wasn’t up to par from my side," he told the BBC.

"But credit to Carlos for playing elite tennis, especially from the back of the court, he had it all today.

"It wasn’t meant to be, I tried to extend the match, but he was an absolute deserved winner today so congratulations for him."

"Because Wimbledon was always a childhood dream of mine and to be here on the centre stage - I try to remind myself how serene it is to be here, every single time I step on this court it feels like the first time," he continued.

"So I’m a child, living my childhood dream so once again, thank you."

16:47 BST - What a performance from Alcaraz. He broke Djokovic four times in the first two sets to lead 6-2, 6-2, and though Djokovic fought back in the third, he could not find a way to beat the Spaniard. The pair have served up two brilliant finals over the last two years. It should be said as well that Djokovic has been incredibly gracious throughout.

16:38 BST - ALCARAZ WINS WIMBLEDON! The Spaniard holds his nerve to win the tie break and beat Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(7/4) and win back-to-back Wimbledon titles.

16:29 BST - Alcaraz holds his serve and we are heading for a third-set tie-break.

16:22 BST - BREAK! Djokovic has broken back! That's his first break of the match, and what a time to do it. We are locked at 5-5 in the third set, with Alcaraz leading two sets to love. Alcaraz was 40-0 up in that game initially, and Djokovic survived three Championship points to go on to win it. Incredible stuff.

16:15 BST - BREAK! And just like that, Alcaraz has broken Djokovic and is now serving for the match and Championship.

16:12 BST - The third set has been a much more even contest, with both players holding their nerve to serve out. It's currently 4-4 with Djokovic about to serve.

15:46 BST - Djokovic roars with delight after holding his serve to go 2-1 up in the third set. That's the first bit of emotion we've seen from him - is he starting to grow into this final?

15:25 BST - ALCARAZ WINS SECOND SET. Alcaraz has only dropped four games in the first two sets, in which he has broken Djokovic four times. He is 6-2, 6-2 up and cruising on Centre Court.

15:21 BST - DOUBLE BREAK! This second set is playing out the same as the first and Alcaraz is serving for the set already. He clearly wants to be back in time to watch tonight's Euro 2024 final.

14:58 BST - BREAK! Alcaraz has broken Djokovic in the opening game of the second set. Big pressure being applied by the Spaniard.

14:52 BST - ALCARAZ WINS OPENING SET. Unsurpsingly, Alcaraz has served out to win the first set 6-2. Granted it's still early in the final, but the manner of how that first set played out will no doubt be something Djokovic is mulling over as the players take a break here.

14:38 BST - DOUBLE BREAK! Alcaraz is cruising here. Djokovic fires down a double fault on 30-40 to hand the Spaniard a 4-1 lead in the opening set.

14:24 BST - BREAK! What a start we've been treated to, and Alcaraz's decision to receive first appears to have paid off. Not only has he broken the Djokovic serve in the opening game, but it took 14 minutes to get through it. That will play on the mind of last year's losing finalist.

14:10 BST - Here we go, then, Djokovic to get things under way.

14:08 BST - Alcaraz won the toss and has opted to receive first. The players are warming up out there.

14:00 BST - Here come the players to a standing ovation from the fans.

13:45 BST - Here's a reminder of how last year's Wimbledon final between these two played out.

12:10 BST - After two weeks, only two men remain ahead of one last match for the Wimbledon trophy.

Alcaraz and Djokovic take to Centre Court in a little under two hours and we'll bring you all the key updates!

10:55 BST - If it weren't for Alcaraz, Djokovic would have won Wimbledon for the fifth year running last year! He gets a chance to make it five in the last six tournaments today - or seven triumphs in the last decade. Amazingly impressive consistency over the years.

08:11 BST - Good morning and welcome back to our Tennis Tracker, where we'll be bringing you all the coverage of the men's Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, a repeat of last year's affair where the Spaniard came out on top.

Alcaraz is aiming to win the tournament for the second year in a row aged just 21, while victory for Djokovic would see him take a record 25th Grand Slam - the most of any man or woman - and also tie him with the legendary Roger Federer for the most Wimbledon titles at eight each.

The match is due to begin at around 14:00 BST.
