Van Gerwen records back to back Premier League darts wins
Michael van Gerwen extended his lead at the top of the Premier League table after his second victory in five nights.
The Dutchman saw off Jonny Clayton to strengthen his table-topping form in the weekly competition, beating 'The Ferret' 6-3 in Exeter.
Van Gerwen defeated Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall on his way to defeating Clayton in the final.
The victory adds to last week's Dublin defeat of Gerwyn Price on night four.
Van Gerwen was in command throughout the final, taking control with a 2-0 lead before hitting a second 180 and double 16 for 3-0.
It puts MVG six points clear at the top of the 2023 Cazoo Premier League, ahead of Michael Smith and Aspinall in second and third respectively.
Meanwhile, Peter White's woes continue as he sits at the foot of the table with no points, losing 6-5 to Clayton on the night.
