West Ham have agreed a deal in the region of £15 million to sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa.
Striker Ings is poised join the Hammers to provide extra attacking impetus alongside Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio.
West Ham have struggled in the Premier League this season and sit 18th in the table having scored just 15 goals at the halfway mark.
Ings, meanwhile, has scored six goals in 19 games in a largely sporadic role for Villa this term.
The 30-year-old joined the Midlands club from Southampton in 2021 but has not managed to recapture his form at Villa Park.
Ings scored 14 goals in 52 appearances for the club, while his last league start came in November in a 2-1 win at Brighton.
